Skip's BIO
Skip’s aviation career is wide and far-reaching spanning 40 years. Skip is rated in 10 different corporate aircraft including GIII, GIV, GV, G450, and G550s, Falcon 10, 50, and 900s as well as Learjets and Citations. He was one of twelve Standards Committee pilots for three years at Tag Aviation overseeing a staff of 210 pilots flying 95 aircraft. Skip has held numerous senior positions in aviation as a Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, and Director of Maintenance. Skip is also an FAA-licensed Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic and more importantly a Designated Airworthiness Inspector for the FAA for a number of years. Skip managed Altec Lansing’s aviation department for 16 years before turning down American Airlines and United Airlines to stay in corporate aviation.
In the tradition of gentlemen warriors, Skip served honorably in the US Army Special Forces Reserve for 6 years. He was a Philosophy major at Ohio State andalso studied Arab history at the American University of Beirut as an exchange student for a semester.
